全く変わってしまったこと、常に変わり続けていること、そして、ずっと変わらないこと。
10年という年月は、ひとりひとりの心に、何を刻み、何を残し、何を生み出してきたのでしょうか。
レジリエンス。それは、しなやかな強さ。
人が困難や逆境の中にあっても心が折れることなく、立ち直る根源的な力。
逆境を力に変え、復興に向け歩んできた東北人のレジリエンスは、
私達に勇気を与え、世界から尊敬を集め続けてきています。
そして、そのレジリエンスは、未来を創る子どもたちの中にもしっかりと育まれ、希望になっています。
あの日、子ども達は何を見て、何を感じたのか。
逆境を、どうやって力に変え続けてきたのか。
これからの東北、そして未来を、どのように描き、創ろうとしているのか。

Ten years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake.
A time that passed like a blink of an eye, and yet a time that seems so long.
Some things have changed, some things are changing, and some things will never change.
What has ten years left in the hearts of each one of us, and what has it created?
Resilience. It is the ability to be flexible and adapt to difficulties.
It is the fundamental power that enables people to recover from difficulties and adversities without losing heart.
The resilience of the people of Tohoku, who have turned adversity into strength and walked toward recovery, gives us courage and inspires the world.
And that resilience is nurtured firmly in the children who will create the future, and has become their hope.
